This instrument measures magnitude and phase of frequency conversion devices through independent front-panel control of RF, LO, and IF frequencies. An internal 70 dB step attenuator provides flexible signal conditioning for mixer, multiplier, and divider testing. The 3630A integrates with Wiltron 360 Vector Network Analyzer systems as a dedicated test set, enabling characterization of complex devices including high-power TWTs, QPSK modulators, and multi-output RF components. When paired with Wiltron 360 Option 4 Dual Source Control, it supports two-tone stimulus applications.
