Wiltron 37247B

The Wiltron 37247B is a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) for precision S-parameter measurement and characterization of RF and microwave components from 40 MHz to 20 GHz. The instrument integrates a fast-sweeping synthesized source, four-channel receiver, and S-parameter test set into a compact benchtop unit. It performs S11, S21, S22, and S12 measurements along with insertion loss, return loss, power level, and gain compression analysis. The receiver delivers dynamic range up to 101 dB with noise floor performance of –70 dBm at 40 MHz and –96 dBm at 20 GHz. The 12-term error-corrected architecture supports LRL/LRM and adapter removal calibrations via built-in AutoCal control. Four independent display channels and a large LCD color display enable simultaneous parameter monitoring. Data acquisition captures up to 1601 points with GPIB control and fast transfers. Internal storage includes hard and floppy disk drives for setup and calibration archiving. The unit operates across 85 to 240 V AC (48 to 63 Hz) and measures 432 × 267 × 585 mm, weighing 29 kg. Optional high-stability ovenized time base, time-domain measurement capability, external SCSI-2 drive compatibility, and universal test port configurations extend measurement functionality.
