The Xilinx DLC10 Platform Cable USB II Module (HW-USB-II-G) is a USB-based programming and configuration tool for Xilinx FPGAs, CPLDs, and PROMs. It connects via standard USB 2.0 (Hi-Speed) with backward compatibility to USB 1.1 and derives all operating power from the host USB port at less than 150 mA, eliminating external power supplies. The module supports JTAG (IEEE 1149.1/IEEE 1532), Slave Serial, and SPI interfaces, enabling direct programming of third-party SPI flash memory and indirect programming of SPI or parallel NOR flash via FPGA JTAG. An integrated FPGA-based acceleration engine optimizes performance across selectable target clock speeds from 750 kHz to 24 MHz. Auto-sensing circuitry detects and adapts to target I/O voltages spanning 1.5V to 5V (TTL, LVCMOS), with tri-color LED status indication. The 115.6 mm × 25.4 mm module houses internal EMI shielding within a recyclable, fire-retardant plastic enclosure and ships with a 14-conductor ribbon cable connector and optional flying lead adapter. Firmware updates occur automatically via design tool connection. Intended for prototyping applications, the DLC10 integrates with Xilinx iMPACT, Vivado, Embedded Development Kit, and ChipScope Pro Analyzer for embedded system design and debugging workflows.
