3M 34-Pin Ribbon Cable

The 3M 34-Pin Ribbon Cable is a flat ribbon interconnect for mass termination to Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDCs) in computing, telecommunications, test and measurement, and robotics applications. Built with tinned stranded copper conductors at 28 AWG (some variants 30 AWG), the cable delivers reliable signal integrity across 34 conductors at 0.050 inch pitch spacing. Available in round jacketed flat and unscreened configurations, with optional shielding for EMI protection, it operates across -20°C to +105°C (-20°C to +80°C for screened variants) at 300V rating. UL recognized to VW-1 flame retardant (Style 2651), the cable ships on 100 ft (30.5 m) or 30 m reels in gray or black sheath. Screened variants provide 106 Ω characteristic impedance and 90.88 pF/m capacitance. Some series feature zippable construction for branching or discrete termination. Red stripe identifies the first conductor. Insulation resistance exceeds 1×10¹⁰ Ω/3 m or >1×10⁹ Ω @ 500 VDC. IDC sockets rated to 1.25 A per conductor. Designed for broad compatibility with 3M IDC connectors including D89 and 891 series.
