The Abaco Systems VMIVME-4132-011 is a 32-channel analog output board for VME bus systems delivering 12-bit resolution signal generation across industrial control, data acquisition, and process automation applications. The board provides jumper-selectable unipolar (0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V) and bipolar (±2.5 V, ±5 V, ±10 V) output ranges with 10 mA drive current per channel and 0.1 Ω output impedance. Each channel includes a dedicated sample-and-hold buffer and software-controlled output switch for field isolation without accuracy degradation. Built-in self-test (BIT) functionality validates 100% of active components using an onboard ADC and multiplexers—no external test equipment or specialized backplanes required. The board operates in program-controlled online and offline modes, supporting binary, offset binary, or two’s complement data formats. Integrated ±15 V on-board DC-to-DC conversion eliminates external power dependencies. Program-controlled scan rates accommodate complex output function requirements. VMEbus-compliant architecture employs jumper-selectable physical addressing (A07–A15 decode), configurable access modes (factory set to supervisory short I/O), and occupies 128 bytes of short I/O address space on any 128-byte boundary. Memory-mapped 16-bit data registers enable direct channel control. Protection against line transients and short circuits ensures field reliability. Double-height Eurocard form factor integrates into standard VME chassis with IDC large-scale termination connector interface.
