It integrates with Agilent phase noise and RF test systems to enable narrow-resolution spectral analysis across an extended frequency range. The module features dual independent frequency dividers with programmable division ratios (1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 per divider, maximum combined ratio 256) and supports both manual and external logic control via 15-pin D-connector interface. Manual mode operation is enabled through front-panel switches (I/E and E/D); external control mode utilizes dedicated logic lines for divider selection and fine output power adjustment, with default idle state of 5V logic ‘1’. The module accepts 50Ω SMA-female RF inputs and outputs, draws DC power via external supply (e.g., Agilent 6236B or E3630A) through the supplied DC cable, and disables RF output when either or both divider control lines are set to logic ‘1’. External control implementation requires switch units capable of providing open-circuit (logic ‘1’) or ground (logic ‘0’) signals across six power adjustment lines and three lines per divider.
