The Agilent/Keysight 83051A is a broadband microwave system amplifier engineered to recover losses and boost power in RF and microwave automated test equipment. Spanning 45 MHz to 50 GHz with 23 dB typical gain, it consolidates multiple narrow-band amplifiers into a single compact unit, eliminating the need for crossover networks or separate bias supplies. The amplifier delivers more than 8 dBm output power to 45 GHz and 6 dBm to 50 GHz at 1 dB compression point. Noise figure performance ranges from less than 12 dB below 2 GHz to 6 dB typical at 26.5 GHz and 10 dB typical to 50 GHz. RF connections use 2.4 mm female connectors; a BNC female connector provides DC detector output. The unit operates from +12 V @ 425 mA and -12 V @ 50 mA supplies, compatible with the Keysight 87421A 25W power supply.
