Equipment info

The Keysight N1032A is a single-channel optical module engineered for the DCA-X mainframe to acquire and analyze high-speed optical signals with exceptional precision. It delivers optical bandwidth up to 120 GHz and intrinsic jitter as low as 90 fs rms, enabling accurate clock recovery and detailed characterization of NRZ and PAM4 signals across the 1250–1625 nm wavelength range. The module supports standards-based compliance testing with factory-calibrated operation at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, plus user-calibration across the full C-band and L-band spectrum.

Technical Specifications

• Optical Bandwidth: Up to 120 GHz (90 GHz standard; 120 GHz with Option 09U or Option 13U)
• Unfiltered Bandwidth: 60 GHz, 80 GHz, or 90 GHz; 80 GHz, 110 GHz, or 120 GHz (with options)
• Intrinsic Jitter: 90 fs rms
• Wavelength Range: 1250 nm to 1625 nm
• Factory Calibrated Wavelengths: 1310 nm (±20 nm), 1550 nm (±20 nm)
• RMS Noise: 40 μW at 1310 nm; 75 μW at 1550 nm
• Supported Filter Range: 33.3 GBd to 195 GBd
• Hardware Reference Filters: 49.7664 GBd (ITU-T PON), 106.25 GBd (IEEE 800GBASE TDECQ and NRZ), 112.5 GBd (4x200G-FR4 MSA Rev1)
• Equivalent-Time Sampling: Maximum 250 kSa/s (N1000A mainframe); 40 kSa/s (86100D mainframe)
• Input Connector: FC/PC optical
• Impulse Response Correction: Standard feature with optional IRC
