The Keysight N2840A is a passive general-purpose probe designed for oscilloscope measurements with a 10:1 attenuation ratio and DC to 50 MHz bandwidth. It delivers 10 MΩ input resistance with 11 pF input capacitance, minimizing loading effects on the circuit under test. The probe includes adjustable low-frequency and high-frequency compensation (5–30 pF range) to ensure accurate signal reproduction across its operating band. Rise time is less than 7 ns, and maximum input voltage rating is 300 VRMS CAT II or >400 Vpk CAT I and CAT II. The N2840A connects via BNC connector to Keysight InfiniiVision and Infiniium Series oscilloscopes with 1 MΩ input impedance. A 1.2 meter cable length accommodates mid-range bench setups. The probe ships with a retractable hook, adjustment tool, insulation cap, IC insulation cap, colored identification tags, probe tips, ground spring, and alligator ground lead. Probe ID capability is not supported. Optional accessories include PCB socket adapter (0960-2922) and dual-lead adapter (0960-2923).
