Equipment info

The Agilent/Keysight N7714A is a four-port tunable laser source engineered for optical testing and research across C-band and L-band wavelengths. The instrument delivers sub-100 kHz linewidth, offset-grid tuning, and flexible grid spacing (100 GHz, 50 GHz, 25 GHz, and arbitrary configurations) for coherent mixing and complex modulation format validation. With frequency resolution of 100 MHz (0.8 pm at 1550 nm), absolute wavelength accuracy of ± 22 pm (± 2.5 GHz), and output power to +15 dBm, it addresses demanding DWDM characterization and system integration workflows. Optional C-band/L-band or dual-band configurations support varied spectral requirements. Fine-tuning across ± 6 GHz in 15 seconds without output interruption enables rapid wavelength adjustment during live testing.
