The Anritsu 37225B is a microprocessor-controlled vector network analyzer that integrates signal source, test set, and analyzer subsystem into a single compact unit for S-parameter measurements from 40 MHz to 13.5 GHz. Four independent measurement channels deliver configurable parameter sets (S11, S21, S22, S12, or custom a1/a2/b1/b2 combinations) across up to 1601 data points with 500 ms measurement time at 101 points typical. The instrument achieves 101 dB receiver dynamic range at 2 GHz and 13.5 GHz, with system dynamic range extending to 98 dB across the same band. A large LCD color display or external VGA monitor presents results in multiple formats: log magnitude, phase, Smith chart (impedance/admittance), log polar, group delay, linear magnitude, real/imaginary components, and SWR. Six independent markers with delta measurement capability and user-definable single or segmented limit lines support critical component validation and production testing. Built-in hard-disk drive stores front panel setups, measurement data, and calibration records for rapid setup recall.
