Frequency coverage spans five configurations: MS2830A-040 (9 kHz to 3.6 GHz), MS2830A-041 (9 kHz to 6 GHz), MS2830A-043 (9 kHz to 13.5 GHz), MS2830A-044 (9 kHz to 26.5 GHz), and MS2830A-045 (9 kHz to 43 GHz). External mixer connection extends the two highest models to 110 GHz.

Performance metrics include ±0.3 dB total level accuracy, 168 dB dynamic range, and -153 dBm/Hz DANL (30 MHz to 1 GHz). Third-order intercept reaches +15 dBm (300 MHz to 3.5 GHz). SSB phase noise measures -115 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset and -133 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

Analysis bandwidth options scale from 10 MHz standard to 125 MHz maximum via optional extensions (MS2830A-005 through MS2830A-078), with signal analyzer bandwidth reaching 125 MHz.

Input connectors vary by frequency: Type N (up to 13.5 GHz) and K-type 2.92 mm (26.5 GHz and 43 GHz models). High-frequency models include SMA-J IF output at 1.875 GHz center frequency with 1 GHz 3 dB bandwidth.
