The Anritsu MT8870A Universal Wireless Test Set is a modular, multi-channel instrument for high-volume manufacturing test of diverse wireless communication standards. The mainframe supports up to four independent TRX Test Modules, enabling simultaneous connection of up to 16 devices across 5G NR, LTE, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth, GNSS, and emerging V2X protocols. Each module houses independent signal generation and analysis functions with configurable RF port architectures—duplex ports for simultaneous TX/RX or half-duplex ports optimized for low-level signal measurement. The MU887002A variant provides up to 24 RF test ports with two TRX functions per module and capability to simultaneously output modulated signals from 12 ports. Measurement bandwidth extends to 160 MHz across a frequency range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz standard, with optional extension to 7.3 GHz for Wi-Fi 6E and NR-U applications. Remote control via Ethernet or optional GPIB enables independent module operation from external PCs, supporting parallel test execution for enhanced production throughput.
