Equipment info

The Burleigh WA-7000 Multi-Line Wavemeter is a precision instrument for simultaneous measurement of multiple laser wavelengths using a scanning Michelson interferometer with Fast Fourier Transform analysis. A HeNe reference laser and advanced digital processing enable high-resolution spectral analysis and real-time wavelength monitoring across the telecom C and L bands. The instrument measures individual peak and total optical power, automatically calculates channel spacing and signal-to-noise ratios, and discriminates up to 200 discrete optical signals with exceptional accuracy.

## Technical Specifications

• **Measurement Principle:** Scanning Michelson interferometer with FFT analysis
• **Wavelength Range:** 1270 nm to 1680 nm (178–236 THz)
• **Wavelength Accuracy:** ±1 ppm; ±1.5 pm at 1550 nm; ±1.5 pm for multiple and average wavelength measurements
• **Spectral Resolution:** Approximately 50 pm
• **Simultaneous Channel Measurement:** Up to 200 discrete optical signals
• **Optical Power Measurement:** Individual peak and total power; 0.01 dB resolution
• **Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio:** Greater than 30 dB (single line spectrum)
• **Power Supply:** Universal 90–260 VAC, 50/60 Hz

## Key Features

• Monolithic interferometer block design for mechanical stability
• Four optical input ports with optional integrated 1×4 optical switch
• FC/PC connectors with 9/125 µm single-mode fiber
