It combines single-fiber splicing with integrated fiber preparation, delivering typical splice loss of 0.02 dB for identical single-mode fibers. The instrument employs hot core alignment with mode coupling theory and hot image processing to personalize splicing procedures based on fiber type and environmental conditions.
