The Fujikura FSM-20RS is an arc fusion splicer designed for precise splicing of single-mode and multimode optical fibers in field environments. Equipped with Profile Alignment System (PAS) technology, it automatically aligns fiber cores or cladding and performs fusion splicing with integrated loss estimation. The splicer’s microprocessor-driven architecture delivers consistent results across SM, MM, DSF, and graded-index fiber types, achieving splice losses as low as 0.02 dB on GI fibers and 0.03 dB on SMF.
