Eight waveform types—sine, triangle, ramp, square, pulse, haversine, havertriangle, and DC—are selectable with output amplitude ranging from 10.0 mVpp to 16.0 Vpp into 50 ohms (doubling into high impedance loads). Pulse width spans 10.0 ns to 999 ms with sub-7 ns edge transitions and less than ±5% ±2 mV perturbations. The instrument supports three modulation schemes: frequency modulation (FM) to ±5% deviation with 1 V/1% sensitivity and DC to 20 kHz modulating frequency; amplitude modulation (AM) at ±2.5 V for 100% modulation and DC to 1 MHz modulating frequency; and pulse width modulation (PWM) in pulse mode. Frequency stability is ±2% over 1 hour and ±5% over 24 hours. Jitter performance reaches less than 0.1% plus 100 ps in pulse mode at 50% duty cycle.
