The HP/Agilent 34932A is a dual 4×16 armature matrix module that provides high-density signal routing for the Agilent 34980A Multifunction Switch/Measure Unit. Two independent matrices deliver 128 total two-wire crosspoints using latching armature relays that maintain state during power loss. Each 4×16 configuration supports up to 64 crosspoints, with unique channel numbering assigned to each row-column intersection. The module connects via standard 50-pin D-sub connectors and expands through four 2-wire analog buses to create larger matrices—up to 1024 2-wire crosspoints within a single mainframe. Integration with the 34980A’s internal DMM enables voltage and resistance measurements across switched signals.
