The HP/Agilent 70907A External Mixer Interface is a 1/8-width module that extends spectrum analyzer frequency coverage by interfacing external mixers with HP 70000 Series Modular Measurement Systems. This interface converts a 321.4 MHz input IF to 21.4 MHz output, enabling high-frequency measurements from 18 GHz to 110 GHz with HP 11970 series mixers, or up to 325 GHz with compatible external mixers from other manufacturers. The module is slaved to an HP 70900B Local Oscillator and provides LO signal distribution, mixer bias output, and IF input conversion within the modular architecture.
