The IFR Aeroflex ATC-1200Y3 is a dual-function test set for transponder and DME system validation in aircraft maintenance and flight-line operations. It performs Mode A and Mode C interrogation, transmitter power measurement, and complete DME ranging and velocity simulation with self-interrogate capability. The instrument generates shaped pulse trains meeting FAA reply requirements and supports TACAN signal simulation via 60 Hz amplitude modulation.
