The IFR Aeroflex RGS-2000 TCAS Reply Generator is a specialized RF interface instrument for testing and calibrating Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) equipment. It simulates TCAS transponder replies to verify operational integrity of TCAS I and TCAS II installations, functioning as an RF component within larger OEM TCAS test stations. The unit decodes Mode S and Mode C interrogations, measures signal characteristics and spectrum content, and simulates up to 154 intruders with realistic target behavior. It provides dual RF antenna ports, GPIB control, and connects to a separate resource panel for discrete, analog, and ARINC 429 interfaces.
Technical Specifications
