The Keysight M1970E is a waveguide harmonic mixer that extends compatible signal analyzers into the millimeter-wave spectrum, enabling measurements from 60 GHz to 90 GHz. This un-preselected mixer integrates automatic calibration and alignment features to streamline test setup and enhance measurement accuracy. Connection via USB provides both power and data transfer, enabling real-time conversion loss correction and automatic local oscillator amplitude compensation for cable losses up to 3 meters or 10 dB. The M1970E automatically detects its identity when connected to a compatible X-series analyzer, self-configuring frequency range and LO harmonic settings while performing automatic alignment at startup.
