It characterizes amplitude response, insertion loss, return loss, and transmission line behavior with 0.1% accuracy on fault location. The instrument delivers 1 Hz frequency resolution, low-noise signal generation, and simultaneous dual-loss measurements via three EEPROM-corrected detector inputs.
