The Measurement Computing / IOtech DBK19 is a 14-channel thermocouple expansion card that extends the measurement capabilities of compatible Measurement Computing DAQ systems. It delivers high-accuracy temperature acquisition through differential input conditioning, on-board cold-junction compensation, and software-based linearization. The card supports eight thermocouple types (J, K, S, T, E, B, R, and N variants) and implements automatic gain selection to optimize analog-to-digital resolution for each sensor type. Two dedicated channels handle auto-zero and cold-junction compensation functions. Screw terminal blocks provide straightforward thermocouple connection, while integrated signal conditioning—including a programmable-gain amplifier and low-noise instrumentation amplifier—minimizes common-mode noise and delivers stable readings across the full measurement range. Power consumption is approximately 200 mW. Up to 16 DBK19 cards can cascade on a single DAQ device, enabling systems with up to 224 total thermocouple channels.

– Key Features
• Differential input configuration reduces common-mode noise
• Software-based cold-junction and zero-offset compensation
• Software-implemented linearization for accurate temperature readings
• Screw terminal block connectors for secure sensor attachment
• Cascadable design supports up to 16 cards per host device
– Compatibility & Integration
The DBK19 interfaces with Measurement Computing DAQ platforms including LogBook, DaqBook, DaqBoard, and Daq PC-Card series. Auxiliary power modules (DBK30A or DBK32A) may be required if system power demand exceeds available supply. DC coupling is available for voltage-mode measurements; current source must be deselected when DC-coupled to prevent device damage.
