The Merlin MVXI1466 (E1466A) is a C-size, 1-slot VXIbus relay matrix switch delivering 4×64 two-wire switching for test automation and signal routing in demanding environments. Built on latching armature relays with dual-channel crosspoint architecture, it handles up to 200V DC and 170V AC rms with 2A peak current per channel. The module expands via chaining cables to create matrices up to 4×256, or scales across a full 13-slot VXI mainframe to 3072 crosspoints. QUIC terminal blocks enable topology reconfiguration without hardware redesign, and onboard memory supports downloaded channel lists for automated sequencing. Operating from −20 to 85 °C with 25g shock tolerance, the E1466A shares the same switch card with E1465A and E1467A family members, allowing matrix configuration flexibility through terminal block swapping.
