The mainframe supports up to 8 or 16 interchangeable modules—including Laser Diode Driver (LDD), Temperature Controller (TEC), and LDD/TEC combo units—enabling flexible configurations from the Newport 8500 series. Auto-detection identifies installed modules and displays system configuration on an integrated LCD screen.
