The NI PXI-6071E is a high-performance multifunction data acquisition module designed for PXI systems. It delivers simultaneous analog input, output, and digital I/O capabilities with precise timing control, making it suitable for research, design verification, industrial testing, and laboratory automation. The module captures analog signals at up to 1.25 MS/s with 12-bit resolution across 64 single-ended or 32 differential input channels, each with software-selectable ranges from ±0.05 V to ±10 V. Two 12-bit analog output channels operate at 1 MS/s with 0.1 Ω output impedance and short-circuit protection. Eight 5 V/TTL digital I/O channels support configurable input/output with 13 mA source current and 24 mA sink current. Timing and control functions rely on the National Instruments DAQ-STC, which provides two dedicated 24-bit counters plus additional 24-bit and 16-bit counters for analog input and output synchronization. All timing resolutions are independently configurable to 50 ns or 10 µs. Eight programmable function input (PFI) lines enable software-controlled routing of digital and timing signals.
