The North Atlantic 75DS2-18181FC1 is a 3U CompactPCI synchro/resolver converter board engineered for high-performance signal conversion in demanding industrial and military applications. It provides up to four independent, galvanically isolated channels capable of simulating synchro, resolver, or LVDT/RVDT signals with 1 arc-minute accuracy and 16-bit resolution. The board incorporates continuous background Built-In-Test (BIT) for real-time channel health monitoring without interrupting operation, combined with standard reference and signal loss detection. Configuration flexibility allows selection of up to four D/S converters (1.5, 2.2, or 3 VA drive capability per channel) or two to four DLV converters. Conduction-cooled (wedgelock) and convection-cooled models accommodate diverse thermal environments. Short-circuit protected outputs support 1.5 VA at 11.8 VLL or 28 VLL, 2.2 VA at up to 90 VLL, or 3 VA configurations. Settling time under 100 microseconds with tracking rates from 0 to ±13.6 RPS enables precision real-time simulation. Programmable dual-speed ratio selection ranges from 2 to 255. Reference frequency acceptance spans 360 Hz to 10 kHz ±1% with 1 Hz resolution; reference input voltage is programmable from 2.0 to 28 Vrms (0.1 Vrms resolution) or fixed 115 Vrms, drawing maximum 1 mA per channel. Phase shift is controlled to 0.5° maximum. Wrap-around converters allow direct readback of actual commanded outputs for closed-loop validation. Front panel and rear connector interfaces support seamless system integration.
