The Abaco Systems/VMIC VMIVME-3413-111 is a 32-channel signal conditioning board for VMEbus systems delivering low-level analog signal acquisition and processing in industrial and data acquisition environments. The board accepts differential, single-ended, or half-bridge inputs directly from transducers and operates as a companion to GE Fanuc Embedded Systems’ 64-channel scanning A/D boards, providing galvanic isolation rated at 500VDC between inputs/outputs and the VMEbus.

• 32 channels, jumper-configurable as differential, single-ended, or half-bridge (non-inverting)
• Selectable full-scale ranges: ±5mV, ±10mV, ±50mV, ±100mV, ±500mV, ±1V, ±5V, ±10V (availability determined by ordering option)
• Full-scale output: ±5V or ±10V (option-dependent)

Signal Conditioning
• Software-programmable gain per channel: x1, x10, x100, x1,000
• Three-pole passive low-pass filters with 10Hz, 100Hz, or 1kHz cutoff options
• Thermocouple cold junction compensation for types E, J, K, N, B, T, R, S with jumper-selectable termination at input connectors or remote location
• Strain gauge bridge excitation: 2.5, 5, or 10VDC (total 150mA capacity) with remote sensing support
• RTD excitation: Individual channels in 8-channel groups, 0.1 to 10mA (adjustable via header resistors), total 32mA

Electrical Performance
• Common-mode rejection (CMRR) at DC-60Hz: 120dB (x1,000 gain), 108dB (x100), 96dB (x10), 78dB (x1) referenced to 4-channel group common with 350Ω unbalance, 10Hz filter; 125dB referred to VME power supply common across all gains
• Input noise: Maximum 3σ (R <100Ω) in 10–1,000Hz band
• Power draw: Typical 2.5A at +5VDC; maximum 3.0A with fully loaded bridge excitation
