Picometrix AD-50XR

The Picometrix AD-50XR is an amplified photoreceiver engineered for high-speed optical measurement across the 700–1650 nm spectral range. It delivers 450 MHz bandwidth with -19 dBm sensitivity, making it suitable for digital and analog communications testing, component characterization, and general high-speed research applications. The device features a transimpedance amplifier for high conversion gain and incorporates Picometrix’s Clean-pulse™ technology for superior pulse response. Fiber-coupled optical input accepts standard 50 µm and 62.5 µm core fibers with numerical apertures of 0.2 and 0.3 respectively, and supports free-space coupling via open fiber ends. Selectable 1 kΩ internal termination maximizes conversion gain; optional 50 Ω termination serves low-reflection applications. ST or FC fiber connectors available at order. Internally regulated power supply with integrated current monitor. Compact instrument-style case with power-indicating LEDs and convenient power switch. Ideal for testing OC-48, OC-192, and OC-768 systems, 10 Gb Ethernet links, and laser/optical component characterization.
