The Agilent 81623B Optical Head is a remote-head optical power measurement detector engineered for precision measurements across telecommunications, component testing, and R&D applications. Built around a 5 mm diameter Germanium detector, it delivers low Polarization Dependent Loss, low spectral ripple, and high return loss (>50 dB, typically >55 dB) performance. The unit interfaces with Agilent 81618A or 81619A interface modules, enabling integration into 8163B, 8164B, and 8166B multichannel mainframes. An analog output (BNC connector) provides voltage proportional to measured optical power for real-time monitoring and data logging.
