The Rigol DSG5206 is an RF signal generator delivering signals from 9 kHz to 20.0 GHz with 1 Hz frequency resolution and exceptional signal purity. Output power ranges from -120 dBm to +13 dBm, with phase noise below -110 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. The instrument combines analog modulation (AM, FM, PM), digital modulation (ASK, FSK, PSK, QAM), and pulse modulation in a single platform. Its internal baseband generator produces sine, square, triangle, ramp, noise, and arbitrary waveforms at up to 125 MSa/s with 14-bit resolution and 16 Mpts memory. Frequency, power, and list sweeps operate in step or continuous modes with dwell times from 1 ms to 1000 s. Settling time is less than 20 ms for 1 GHz frequency changes. The DSG5206 interfaces via USB, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional GPIB, with RF output on Type N female connector. Designed for aerospace, defense, communications, and R&D applications requiring precise signal synthesis and rigorous testing.
