The Rigol RSA3030N is a real-time spectrum analyzer combining RF signal analysis with integrated vector network analysis capabilities. Operating from 9 kHz to 3 GHz (expandable to 4.5 GHz), it delivers 10 MHz standard real-time bandwidth, upgradeable to 25 MHz or 40 MHz for transient signal capture with 7.45 µs probability of intercept at 100% guaranteed coverage across a 40 MHz span. The instrument achieves -136 dBm displayed average noise level (DANL) and -161 dBm with optional preamplifier, paired with -102 dBc/Hz phase noise and 1 Hz minimum resolution bandwidth for precise signal separation. Built-in VNA capabilities enable S11, S21, and Distance To Fault measurements with Smith chart and Polar chart visualization. A tracking generator (100 kHz to 3 GHz) is standard, supporting transmitter characterization including multichannel power, adjacent channel power, and occupied bandwidth analysis. Level measurement uncertainty remains below 1.0 dB across the operating range. Optional EMI pre-compliance testing with CISPR standard limit lines expands measurement scope for design validation and compliance assessment.
