The Rohde & Schwarz HFH2-Z2 is a broadband active loop antenna engineered for magnetic field strength measurements across the LF, MF, and HF bands from 8.3 kHz to 30 MHz. It delivers high sensitivity down to <–70 dB(µA/m/Hz) above 1.5 MHz, enabling detection of extremely weak fields while maintaining a wide dynamic range up to 85 dB(µA/m) in normal mode. The antenna exhibits virtually constant antenna factor across its entire operating range, ensuring precise and repeatable measurements in EMI testing per CISPR, MIL, FCC, ANSI, and ETSI standards.
An integrated attenuator mitigates distortion in strong-field environments, while an internal RF detector with threshold circuit provides overload protection. The 590 mm loop diameter balances sensitivity and portability. Source impedance is 50 Ω with current draw <40 mA at ±10 V. Operating temperature range spans −10°C to +55°C, with storage capability to −25°C to +70°C.
