The Spirent DLS400S is a digital loop simulator for accurate simulation of telephone loops conforming to ITU-T G.991.2/G.shdsl (Annex A) standards. Built on passive circuitry architecture, it minimizes noise interference from active components to deliver high-accuracy test results across R&D, manufacturing, and field deployment scenarios.

Test Loop Simulation
The instrument provides seven pre-configured G.shdsl (Annex A) loop models: Ø, S, BT1-C, BT1-R, BT2-C, BT2-R, and C4. Custom wireline lengths can be programmed. Cable characteristics are replicated using networks of discrete R, L, and C components, reproducing both AC and DC line properties with high fidelity.
Impairment Simulation
Micro Interruption simulation aligns with G.shdsl standard definitions. All impairment parameters are user-configurable and applicable to both pre-configured and custom-defined loops. When combined with DLS-5500 series Noise Impairment products, the system delivers complete ITU-T G.shdsl (Annex A) test loop simulation including custom noise shapes.
