Equipment info

The Tektronix 2246 is a 100 MHz, four-channel portable analog oscilloscope built for general-purpose electronic testing and design work. It combines fast acquisition with precise measurement capabilities, featuring 2 mV/div vertical sensitivity across a 2 mV/div to 5 V/div range and ±2% measurement accuracy on both vertical and horizontal axes. Channels 1 and 2 deliver full performance with ≤3.5 ns step response; Channels 3 and 4 support digital and trigger signals with limited deflection and coupling options. The instrument includes auto-level triggering with noise reject, HF reject, and LF reject modes to stabilize complex waveforms. A and B time bases span 0.5 s/div to 2 ns/div (with x10 magnification), supported by delayed sweep capability and ±2% horizontal accuracy. SmartCursors provide auto-tracking measurements of voltage, time, frequency, and phase. Hands-off voltmeter functions deliver DC, ±Peak, and P-P voltage readings with accuracies to ±0.3% of reading for DC and ±2% of reading for peak measurements.
