The Tektronix VX4286 is a 32-channel analog/digital input module for VXIbus data acquisition systems. It delivers flexible input configuration—32 digital inputs, 32 time-tagged comparator inputs, or 16 analog plus 16 digital channels in combination mode. Each channel features individually programmable threshold voltages with selectable ranges: ±10V (40mV accuracy, 5mV resolution) or ±50V (100mV accuracy, 25mV resolution). Auto-ranging dynamically selects the optimal threshold range. Logic polarity is independently selectable per channel for active high or active low operation. The module integrates input signal conditioning including open-collector pullups and AC detection, with accommodation for user-designed input circuitry. A front panel display highlights channels exceeding their programmed thresholds.
