The Tektronix TCP312 is an AC/DC current probe engineered for precision current measurement on Tektronix oscilloscopes. It combines transformer and Hall effect technologies to deliver DC to 100 MHz bandwidth with 30 A DC maximum capability and 50 A peak current handling. The split-core design enables non-invasive insertion on conductors up to 3.8 mm, 5 mm, or 21 mm × 25 mm depending on configuration. Minimum measurable current reaches 1 mA, with 5 mA achievable at ±3% DC accuracy. Rise time of ≤3.5 ns or ≤23 ns supports fast transient capture across the full bandwidth.

Status indicators provide real-time visual feedback on probe operation and error conditions including degauss, probe open, overload, improper 50 Ω termination, and incompatible probe types. Low DC drift and noise characteristics enable reliable low-level current measurements. The probe operates across 0 °C to +50 °C at altitudes to 2000 m and carries 600 VRMS CAT I & II and 300 VRMS CAT III bare wire voltage ratings.
