The Tektronix VX1401 is a 13-slot C-size VXI mainframe designed for high-performance automated test systems and modular instrumentation. It accommodates 12 VXIbus instrument modules plus a Resource Manager in Slot 0, delivering superior dynamic current capacity and low noise performance compared to the VX1400. An eight-layer monolithic backplane provides full VXIbus 1.4 compliance with fast bus arbitration, asynchronous structure, and non-multiplexed address/data paths. The system dissipates 35 W per slot with a 10°C temperature rise, supporting up to 700 watts of usable power to instrument modules at any one time from 1186 VA total capacity.
