Equipment info

The Vishay Measurements 2310 Signal Conditioning Module is a precision signal amplification and conditioning instrument engineered for strain gauge, transducer, and multi-sensor measurement applications. It delivers stable, low-noise amplification with continuously adjustable gain from 1 to 11,000 and integrated bridge excitation, balance, and completion circuitry. The modular architecture supports multi-channel integration for complex data acquisition and test systems, offering simultaneous buffered outputs and selectable active filtering across four frequency bands.

Technical Specifications

Amplifier and Gain
• Gain range: 1 to 11,000, continuously variable
• Gain accuracy: ±1% of reading ±0.5% of full-scale vernier setting
• Input impedance: Above 100 megaohms (differential or common-mode)
• Accepts strain gauges (foil and piezoresistive), potentiometers, DCDTs, RTDs, and nickel temperature sensors

Bridge Excitation and Balance
• Excitation: 11 fixed settings from 0.7 VDC to 15 VDC (1% max.); also 0.5 to 15 VDC in 12 steps; 0.2 to 7 VDC continuously variable
• Bridge completion: 120Ω, 350Ω, and 1000Ω quarter-bridge; 60 to 2000Ω half or full bridge
• Dual-range bridge balance: ±5000 µε and ±25,000 µε with keep-alive power

Filtering and Frequency Response
• Active filter: Six-pole Butterworth, four selectable frequencies (10 Hz, 100 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz) plus wide-band
• DC-coupled response: DC to 60 kHz at –0.5 dB max.; DC to 145 kHz at –3 dB max.
• AC-coupled response: 1.7 Hz typical to 150 kHz at –3 dB max.
• Wide-band operation: 76 kHz at –0.5 dB; 155 kHz at –3 dB

Outputs
• Standard output: ±10V at 5 mA minimum; linearity ±0.02% DC; slew rate 7.8 V/µs typical
• Tape output: ±1.414V (1 VRMS) at 5 mA minimum
• Galvanometer output: ±10V at 75 mA minimum, current-limited 100 mA maximum; 50Ω minimum load for ±0.05% linearity

– Key Features

• Three simultaneous buffered outputs with individual short-circuit protection capability
• Precision high-stability bridge completion resistors and dummy gauges
• Optional remote calibration and auto balance reset
• Switch-selected filtering applied to any one, two, or all outputs

– Typical Applications
