The Acces PCI-DIO-72 is a 72-channel digital input/output module for PCI bus systems, delivering flexible interfacing for industrial automation, data acquisition, and control applications. Built on programmable peripheral interface (PPI) architecture using 8255-5 chips, the module provides individually buffered I/O lines with 32 mA sourcing and 64 mA sinking capability per channel. Port configuration—two 8-bit ports (A, B) and two 4-bit ports (C_high, C_low) per PPI group—is software-selectable as input or output latches. Output buffers feature 10 kΩ pull-up resistors to +5 VDC. The card occupies 16 bytes of I/O address space with system-assigned base addressing and requires no manual jumper configuration.
