The Aeroflex 3035C is a PXI wideband RF digitizer module that captures and analyzes RF signals across a broad frequency range for communication systems testing. It combines a 13-bit ADC with variable sample rates up to 250 MSa/s, 36 MHz native bandwidth, and amplitude/phase correction to deliver precise modulation analysis. The module outputs amplitude and phase-corrected digital IF or IQ data samples, making it suitable for WLAN, WMAN, and 2G/3G cellular radio signal characterization from design through manufacturing verification.

Technical Specifications

Frequency Range: 250 kHz to 6.0 GHz

Bandwidth: 36 MHz –1 dB native; up to 90 MHz –1 dB achievable. Amplitude flatness of ±0.1 dB over ±5 MHz, and ±0.25 dB up to 67 MHz. Phase flatness maintains < ±0.03 radians pk-pk across 33 MHz and < ±0.03 radians (1.7°) across 67 MHz.

ADC: 13-bit resolution; 103.68 MHz clock. Sample rates variable to 250 MSa/s or 90 MSa/s with LVDS output enabled; 0.1 Hz resolution.

Dynamic Range: 75 dB spurious-free; 75 dB intermodulation-free.

RF Input: +30 dBm maximum (10 dB minimum attenuation). Noise spectral density –145 dBm/Hz. Level accuracy better than 0.45 dB (typical 0.3 dB); temperature stability ±0.02 dB/°C; repeatability < ±0.08 dB post warm-up. Return loss typically 16 dB.

Attenuation: 0 to 31 dB in 1 dB steps; 66 dB electronic switched range.

Phase Noise: At 20 kHz offset: –116 dBc/Hz at 2 GHz, –108 dBc/Hz at 5 GHz. Noise floor typically –138 dBc/Hz at 2 GHz above 10 MHz offset.

Frequency Settling: Typically 250 µs to within ±0.3 dB in list mode.

Memory: 256 M × 16 bit samples (512 MB total).
