The Agilent 81949A Compact Tunable Laser Source (TLS) with Option 071 is a single-slot module delivering high optical power across the C and L-bands for precision characterization of optical components and DWDM systems. It integrates into Agilent/Keysight 8163A/B, 8164A/B, and 8166A/B mainframes, providing mode-hop-free tuning from 1520 nm to 1630 nm with 5 pm wavelength resolution and ±100 pm absolute accuracy. Built-in coherence control and Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) suppression ensure stable, reliable measurements on optical amplifiers, nonlinear devices, and long-fiber systems without external booster amplifiers or wavelength monitoring equipment.
