The Keysight DAQM905A is a dual 1:4 RF multiplexer module that routes high-frequency and pulsed signals between test instruments and devices under test. Designed for integration with DAQ970A and DAQ973A data acquisition systems, it delivers broadband switching across two independent 4-channel banks with 50 Ohm impedance and usable bandwidth to 2 GHz on direct SMB connections.
Technical Specifications
• Configuration: Dual 4-channel multiplexer (two independent 1×4 banks)
• Impedance: 50 Ohm
• Usable Bandwidth: 2 GHz (direct SMB); 1 GHz (with BNC-to-SMB adapters)
• Maximum Voltage: 42 Vpk
• Maximum Transients: 0 Vpk (referenced to earth)
• Measurement Category: CAT ‘Others’
• Connectors: SMB inputs with 10 × 50 Ohm SMB-to-BNC cables included
– Key Features
• Single active channel per bank—closing a new channel automatically opens the previous one
• One channel in each bank always connected to common (COM)
• Both banks share common earth ground with independent shield paths per bank
• Cascading support for larger topologies (16:1 multiplexer configurations within single frame)
• No internal DMM connectivity
– Typical Applications
• Automated test signal routing for RF and pulsed measurements
• Multi-instrument connection without recabling (signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
• High-frequency data logging and signal switching
– Compatibility & Integration
The DAQM905A integrates directly into Keysight DAQ970A and DAQ973A systems via module slot architecture. User’s, service, and security documentation available for both host platforms in English, French, and Spanish. White papers on measurement speed optimization and DAQ data logger selection accompany the product.
