The Agilent/Keysight E1408B is a multi-channel digital data acquisition module for VXI systems, delivering TTL-level input/output across twelve 8-bit bi-directional ports organized into three banks. It supports block memory transfers up to 325 Kb/s for 32-bit operations, with individual port configurability for logic polarity, read/write, and tri-state modes. The module integrates six GPIO handshake protocols—none, leading edge, trailing edge, pulse, partial, and strobe—enabling flexible timing control. Ports can be combined for byte, word, or long-word data transmission from a single or multiple sources.
