Equipment info

The Keysight U2001A is a USB-connected average power sensor that delivers precision power measurements from 10 MHz to 6 GHz without requiring a dedicated power meter. Power and data flow over a single USB 2.0 connection, enabling direct integration with PCs and compatible instruments. The sensor performs up to 250 readings per second across a measurement range of −60 dBm to +20 dBm, with optional extensions to 3 MHz low-frequency coverage and +25 dBm upper range. Internal calibration and EEPROM-stored compensation factors eliminate the need for external reference calibrators, while measurement uncertainty achieves ≤1.9% under specified conditions. The unit operates from 0 °C to +55 °C and connects via N-type male (50 Ω) connectors. Three software tools—BenchVue, Power Panel (N1918A), and Power Analysis Manager—enable PC control, data logging, limit alerting, and graphical trace display. Up to 20 sensors operate simultaneously on a single PC. Triggering options include internal envelope-based detection and external trigger inputs. Optional cables extend reach to 5.0 m (USB) and 16.4 ft (sensor), while optional impedance selection and frequency/power range extensions are available.
