The Ando AQ8460 Optical Component Analyzer characterizes optical components in DWDM networks with simultaneous multi-port spectral measurement. Using a high-performance tunable laser and multiple optical power meters, it measures insertion loss, return loss, polarization-dependent loss, and spectral attenuation across components such as multiplexers, demultiplexers, add/drop multiplexers, fiber Bragg gratings, filters, and isolators. The instrument delivers results in under 20 seconds with 1000 data points and up to 40 sensors, significantly accelerating analysis compared to sequential measurement methods.
