The Anritsu MG3690C series is a high-performance RF/microwave signal generator delivering extended frequency coverage, precise amplitude control, and exceptional signal purity across demanding test and validation environments. Four base models span 0.1 Hz to 20 GHz, 40 GHz, 50 GHz, and 70 GHz, with optional down-converters extending low-frequency capability to 8 MHz and multiplier support reaching 500 GHz. Output power ranges from −120 dBm to +25 dBm with amplitude accuracy of ±1 dB to 40 GHz and ±1.5 dB to 60 GHz. Phase noise performance reaches −115 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset (10 GHz, Option 3), with three selectable performance tiers available. Fast frequency switching in list mode operates at 2 mSec minimum, reducing test cycle time. Internal time base stability achieves <2 × 10⁻⁹/day aging and <2 × 10⁻⁸/°C temperature drift over 0 °C to 55 °C operating range, calibratable to external 10 MHz references. Modulation capabilities via Option 28 include AM, FM, PM, and pulse modulation, supported by internal LF and pulse generators. All models feature 0.01 Hz frequency resolution, Ethernet and IEEE-488 interfaces, and compact 429 × 133 × 450 mm form factor at 18 kg.
