This compact plug-in module delivers three-wavelength OTDR testing with 30 dB dynamic range, achieving 38 dB maximum performance across 1310 nm, 1550 nm, and filtered 1625/1650 nm bands. It combines OTDR, power meter, loss test set, and light source functions in a single 700 g instrument measuring 19 cm × 9.6 cm × 4.8 cm, enabling field technicians to perform comprehensive fiber characterization without carrying separate test equipment. The module achieves 2 cm resolution, sub-1 meter dead zone performance, and extends to 150 km measurement range over standard ITU-T G.652 SMF. Real-time trace updates at 0.25 second intervals support rapid fault diagnosis and splitter testing through 1×64 PON configurations.
