– Key Features
Modulation Capabilities
Internal AM, FM, phase, and pulse modulation. Seven internal modulating waveforms including Gaussian noise. User-downloaded arbitrary waveforms and external modulation support. Pulse modulation includes doublet, triplet, and quadruplet modes for RADAR blind-spot testing. Simultaneous synchronized modulations enable complex signal generation. Phase modulation available with Option 6.
Sweep & Frequency Agility
CW or step sweep modes with variable dwell times from 1 ms to 99 seconds. Frequency switching time: <15 ms + 1 ms/GHz or <40 ms maximum. Analog, manual, and alternate sweep modes. Programmable frequency agility stores up to 1000 non-sequential frequencies as phase-locked step sweeps. Step count variable 1 to 10,000; step size 1 kHz minimum (0.1 Hz with Option 11). Sweep width: 1 kHz to full range, independently selected.
Integration & Configuration
Coaxial output connector. GPIB control for frequency agility and programmable operation. Compact design with optional rack mounting kit (Option 1). Option 17 deletes front panel for remote-control applications.
– Typical Applications
Signal calibration and verification, lab development, microwave component characterization, communications system testing.
– Compatibility & Integration
GPIB-controlled interface enables automated test system integration and remote operation.
